Tottenham Hotspur defended their fans after a second warning from the Society of
Black Lawyers that they will face charges for chanting “yid” at Spurs games.
Peter Herbert, the society’s chairman, has set a deadline of Nov 20 for Spurs
fans to stop using the word. He warned his organisation will then make
complaints to police under the Public Order Act.
