The oldest woman ever, died today in Israel, at the age of 124, according to press reports.
Miriam Amash of the Arab-Israeli village Jisr a-Zarka died Saturday morning. According to the population register of the Interior Ministry, she was 124 years old. The age is based on a birth certificate issued by Turkish authorities who ruled the region at that time.
